It all started when...

We realized that our planet is priceless. So on April 22 each year, which is the birthday of Earth Day or the birth of the modern environmental movement (that started in 1970), we celebrate a national day to focus on Planet Earth and to raise public awareness about conservation, preservation and environmental protection. It is now coordinated by the Earth Day Network and is celebrated globally.

FOBG is celebrating Earth Day at Brookside Gardens on Sunday April 23, 2017 and would like to invite everyone to join them on this special day!! Visit the FOBG booth and participate in the fun raffle with great prizes (gift cards for area restaurants, shops, pruning service, spa treatments, Calvert Marine Museum and cruise tickets etc.) and the Special Raffle (click here to see details) of one of a kind, hand painted watering can by Betsy Thomas, Past President of the Society of Decorative Painters and Friends of Brookside Gardens.
