OCHO DE BASTOS:
Uniting People Through Music
Ocho De Bastos (translation: Eight of Clubs) came to life in 2009 when David (on guitar), Hipo (on bass guitar), Miltn (on vocals), and Raul (on drums), a group of four young enthusiastic and passionate musicians formed a Latin Pop Rock Band. Since then, Ocho De Bastos has become one of the most popular and sought out bands in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. A unique guitar sound, blended with powerful drums, Latin percussion, and catch brass riffs, complement Ocho De Bastos’ unique style. Their goal is to bring people together with music and to create memorable experiences.
Formed in 2003, The U-Liners ( John Uehlein, Avril Smith, Tom Espinola, Jessica Lake, Barry Warsaw & Larry Ferguson) play the best in roots rock music and songs of our time: Americana, country, folk, rock and roll, soul, bluegrass and everything mixed into a cool groove. The U-Liners include award winning musicians, and the band was voted among the top three bands in the region by the fans in the Washington Area Music Association. A rare specialty of this group includes songs of hope, peace, justice, the environment, and worker’s rights; and come from the band’s belief that we can make the world a better place.
